The angle on this girl's ear may not be the same for someone else.Here are examples of a Bridge (aka Erle) piercing, and a Septum with a circular barbell.This wrist piercing is actually two Single Point Surface Piercings. This client had surface piercings here twice before but found the Single Point Surface Piercings to be more comfortable and heal faster.These wrist piercings are examples of a more traditional surface bar, they are shaped like upside down staples under the skin. One of these piercings is healed and the other was freshly done, if you look closely I bet you'll see which is which.
Another example of Brett's fine Venom piercing works. Venoms are two offset tongue piercings.Here is a standard Tongue Piercing Brett performed on a lovely young lady.The piercing on the little flap of cartilage just in front of the ear is called a Tragus Piercing. Here is an example of three Labret Piercings done with miniature bezel set gems.Beautiful large gauge initial Labret.The round ring inside the ear is in a Daith Piercing. These piercings compliment the ear's natural shape.Double Tongue Piercings do not have to be offset, here is a pair that is inline.Another example of a Daith Piercing, this one was done with a special heart shaped ring.Brett was only responsible for the Lower Navel Piercing in this photo, not the top one.A Madison is a special type of Surface Piercing just below the neck that can be tricky to heal. Proper jewelry is very important.On rare instances Captive Bead Rings can be used for initial Male Nipple Piercings like in this photo. Because of differences in anatomy it is not as likely they will work for females.Here's another older photo of some Male Nipple Piercings done with rings. Typically the size and shape of the breast on woman, in conjunction with the size and shape of the nipple make it hard for rings to work well as initial female nipple jewelry.Nostril Piercings have become increasingly more popular for men and women, and are becoming a little more commonplace in office settings as well.Some people call these little guys "dermals" or "microdermals", but both are common misnomers. The Microdermal Anchor was a term coined for the type of jewelry used in the piercing, but the piercing is by all means simply a Single Point Surface Piercing. No smoke or mirrors, still a piercing.
